Re the Ghost, I just read another post by someone who is new to scooters and bought a Ghost. This is what they had to say:
"So the scooter has:
3 modes, or speed limits 17 or 18, 25 or so, and die young.
Eco or turbo mode, I think some sort of power limit.
One or two motors, again ends up limiting the power.
Then in the controller you can set the acceleration 1-5, I’m set at 3.
On 3 it will spin the tires on pavement on start.
I think the biggest impact to battery life is the person driving and the terrain.
I just ride it at turbo, two motors, mode 1 if I’m with someone slow or 3 if by myself.
I also take it easy on the throttle.
PS, I bought the Ghost because I live in a very hilly place and I’m heavy.
It is perfect for me."
I ended up buying a Ghost as my first scooter, since I’m also a bit heavy and live in an area with a lot of hills and bad roads. Even with the speed limited, the two motors will still help with hill climbing and range. I preordered the version with hydraulic brakes, that should help when going downhill.
