You can compare different ESG performance specs in this database, but here’s a quick summary below.
We haven’t tested the Pro SE, but we have tested the 10 inch Mantis Base and Pro. The SE Pro and Pro are fairly comparable (both 60 V, hydraulic brakes) except the Pro has a bigger battery than the Pro SE (1470 Wh vs 1092 Wh). The SE is all blinged out in gold, but I’m not aware of any other big differences.
The Mantis Pro has better accel, but slightly lower top speed than the Phantom (52 V – which is what’s available right now).
The Phantom Ludicrous, which we tested a pre-release version of, smashes both of them – it’ll be available sometime in the summer.
- ESG Top Speed: 37 mph (Mantis Pro), 39.1 mph (Phantom 52 V)
- ESG 0-35 mph: 9.3 s (Mantis Pro), 13.1 s (Phantom 52 V)
- ESG Hill Climb (time): 7.9 s (Mantis Pro), 9.2 s (Phantom 52 V)
- ESG Hill Climb (avg speed): 17.1 mph (Mantis Pro), 14.9 mph (Phantom 52 V)
Oh, forgot to add this below:
Lights on the Phantom are phenomenal – very functional unlike many other scooters with tiny low-mounted lights. You can get by with just the built in.
Not sure about handlebar extensions …. are you referring to like bolting on different bike handlebars? @DrScootLittle
