Hiboy S2 Pro vs NIU KQi3 pro

I am looking to buy a Hiboy S2 Pro or a NIU KQi3 pro. I am looking to buy a scooter for commuting and running around town. The max one-way trip could be up to 7miles with the normal commuter one-way trip of 2-3miles. I am looking for a max speed of _20mph. I am not really interested in the slower max speeds of 15mph. Rider weight will be 220-240lbs

I heard the very positive review on ESG about the NIU so was leaning towards it but I am concerned with the max rider weight of 220lb and lower motor power of 350W vs the hiboy motor power of 500W

The hiboy s2 pro is on sale at amazon right now $552 and the NIU KQi3 pro is 699. So I guess my price range is $500-700.

Suggestions.. or should I look at something different? By the ways, I am a novice scooter rider but have commuted by bike before.. Just trying to find a way to dodge gas prices and not show up to work winded and sweaty. Thanks

Of the 2 choices you mention, I would choose the Hiboy S2, 500W vs 350W motor alone is a good plus. I weigh 165 and a 350 watt scooter IMO is underpowered as a serious daily ride. You will be walking up hills pushing it at times. That model seems to cover your range/speed requirements as well.

PaulN wish I picked the S2 instead of the S2R. S2 has rear suspension with under deck lights and you can mount a additional headlight to the handle bars on the S2. The Hiboy KS models are the same as the S2 models with upgrades.
