Hi, can anyone tell me how to adjust your brakes where they will gradually slow/stop you? When I use the front or the rear brakes they grip you extremely hard. I’m not able to ease them on.

My guess is that the regenerative braking is set too strong on your scooter. The adjustments built into disc brakes are mainly intended to align the caliper with the disc.

The small adjuster at the lever (hydraulic brakes) only adjusts the position of the lever relative to the piston inside of the master cylinder. For reasons that my physics degree cannot explain, moving the lever further from the grip has the effect of making the lever feel stiffer even though it shouldn’t change the amount of slop in the lever or change the leverage the lever has vs the master cylinder.

DJMD Are you certain this is a mechanical setting and not your regenerative brake setting on too high of a setting? Mine for example were set to level 3 out of 5 strengths, I dropped that to level 2 in the controller P-code settings. If you are not used to this it comes as quite a surprise how strong regen braking is. Especially on my Mantis 10 pro

On the actual brake leaver where your hand actually brakes should be a little allen key screw where you can adjust the tension on the brake lever - like this (mind you some brands are different)

anit clock wise loosens, clock wise tightens

Timotis I believe this only adjusts so the lever is in more comfortable position because some people have smaller hands. Doing this screw does not increase the braking travel distance for gradual stop.
However if your version is correct and not mine then how do you adjust the brake lever to NOT be so far away from your fingers?

Max99 Actually what this screw adjust is the spacing between the brake pads within the caliper on hydraulic brakes. It also ajusts how much pressure is required to apply brakes by the hand/fingers.

Timotis yeah I tried that and they still grab too strong.

Timotis can you show the picture because i see none.. I tried one screw but it did nothing.
DrScootLittle that video is very very good but my brakes have no such parts. They dont have screws either its almost nothing to adjust which seems too high-tech for me.

I didn’t see the break setting in my P settings. I did in my old scooter. Not this one.
