I have a bird electisan scooter es100, I got two different (cheapest ones i could find on amazon) controllers, same company, but when i connect the 3 battery wires the voltage goes from measuring 29 volts to 2.9 volts. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I’ve been researching for months, I’m at a loss…

29V is below 0% for a 36V battery pack. The battery is toast. You need to replace it.
