My rear motor on laotie ti30 landbreaker non Op

Hello, first post here. I can’t seem to find anyone in area who works on scooters, thought I’d be proactive and see if can get some help doing it myself. (Situation) I recently hit a curb on the back wheel of my scooter, which exposed some of the wire through the housing. Not my first minor bump so I didn’t react to it until my rear stop working. My scooter is a laotie ti30 landbreaker which has duel motors. Presently the front motor still works, so I’m guess the motor control is still functional but I’m wondering if the fix is as easy as replacing the rear motor. Any advice on what I should do before ordering the motor. Like checking the motor to make sure it’s not a wiring issue. I don’t want fry anything other components while check the motor any guidance on how to test would be appreciated. Thanks

It’s most likely broken (and possibly shorted together) wiring going into the motor. It’s repairable, but it can be a major pain, depending where the damage actually is.

It may involve taking the motor apart and pulling the wiring back though where it runs in the axle, so you can get enough wiring play to repair it.

I’m having the same issue with the rear motor, I’ve got the [M] error on the display, the front motor still works and the rear is motionless. any updates on how you dealt with it? I’m worried that the motor is fully broken and i’ll have to get a new one, which would be a hassle and ~$250 I really don’t want to throw away right now.

Have you opened the deck and checked the connections from the controller all the way to the motor? Could be something as simple as a wire vibrating off of a terminal in there

Well I had taken my back tire off my ti30 and was trying to fix my mudguard because someone took a bolt off of it. It ended up bending out while on the train… Anyways when I put it back on I haven’t been able to get my scooter to run. I just get a (!) ??? What the hell is going on with it? There’s no issues in the wiring, I’ve checked all the way through thoroughly. I didn’t have problems before but once I go to fix that problem with my mudguard I get an error? Any suggestions? I’ve redone the wiring myself and had it running. I know my scooter like the back of my hand. All I’ve done is study this thing for 2 months straight trying to figure out what’s going on… Still the same warning sign. 😤

Frustrated disconnect your brake sensors one at a time (the wiring going to your brake levers). One is stuck on and thinks you are on the brakes, so it disables the throttle. I bet your brake lights are also always on.
