New to the scooter world and we just received our Emove Cruiser based on many reviews but it seems to be making more noise from the motor than I would expect. I contacted Voro and sent them a video and they said it is “normal” for the Emove line but I did not see any mention of it or hear it in the reviews I watched. They said it could be a bent rotor (just out of the box?) or brake pads but it only happens under throttle. I do not know anyone who owns an Emove so I was hoping the folks here could confirm or deny for me. Thanks in advance for your help.
Just noise or is there any hesitation? its easy enough to see if your disk is warped just prop up the scooter in the air safely so the wheels can run in then hold the throttle and look for a warp in the disk. If you kept the Styrofoam blocks the unit came with that will work to lift the wheels off the ground. Also does the noise go away if there is no load when testing like that.
Thanks for the reply. There is just noise, no power hesitation. The disk appears to be straight and the noise is not present when running it up in the air. Also, it seems to be louder the heavier the rider.
Is it a humming noise?
ItsAqua This is the sound from the acceleration, normal
No, not a humming but more like a small gas engine, although not nearly as loud! I posted a video in the original post and not sure if it went through so the url in case. Thanks!
Great, thanks for the reply. Put the scooter to the test this past weekend and am quite impressed with it all around!
