Does anyone do Uber eats grubhub or doordash on their scooters or pev? If so what kind of equipment do you use? I seen a lot of people use Uber eats backpack for deliveries.
Seriously need a second job where I set my own hours

I see this working out well in warm climates, in cities there are many challenges, one being if your scooter is safe while you have to go up 20 stories in an elevator and leave it outside. And get charges between deliveries.

I’ve seen tons around here. They seem to wear the backpacks, and maybe a helmet. They ride their Ninebot Maxs like idiots, zipping through traffic or between pedestrians on the sidewalk, with not a single F to give. Please don’t be like them lol.

2muchcoffee4me I definitely will not since the roads here aren’t city like they’re spread out plus I am a careful rider. I looked up on Amazon for the backpack but there’s so much and I wanted to know what’s like one of the best ones that can hold drinks and pizza like 12 in pizzas. I’m not thinking I should’ve got the Emove cruiser since the 9+ Doesn’t have a super long range maybe a e bike I seen a kid do Uber eats with a lime bike.

I’m not sure where they get the backpacks, but it seems that at least Skip provides large insulated ones that they can use.

I see the restaurants in Downtown Norfolk around MacArthur Mall using escooters and ebikes. The Domino’s Pizza (yuck!) on Princess Anne has a fleet of GY6 moped scooters doing deliveries. It’s literally pizza boxes bungee corded to the rear rack! I’ve only seen one using the hot bag!

I have a friend who used a Genuine Buddy 125 scooter for Door Dash. Made pretty good money with that side hustle! I know he had the hot bag and the rear rack modded to hold it, decent gear (modular helmet was a mandatory to communicate plus a good safety vest to help be seen) and he carried mace. He never had to use the mace. He delivered in Richmond.

Rad Power Rad Runner single speed. Absolute best bang for your buck. Only thing is you’ll need to install some Mr. Tuffy tire liners to “help” the stock tires resist flats. I think the stock tires built in puncture strips are made of Laffy Taffy! Don’t waste your money on Tannus liners. I sold my Rad Runner 1 last spring for $350. Lady who bought it uses it as a moped because her knees are shot. So if you see a little blonde lady blasting around on a Rad Runner around the Pembroke area that’s my old ebike.

Looks like in some ways it would be fun if you could do a 5 mile circle around your house as your delivery zone for example. Too short a summer here for me to do that effectively
