Looking to get my first scooter, and ideally will use it to get around NYC. Given the roads aren’t always the best, I was advised that I really should look at scooters with a 10″ tire, and ideally one with suspension. Ideally I’d like one that can handle the random NYC rain that may happen when riding - I don’t really plan on riding in bad weather but wet roads are common and sometimes showers happen. I had originally been considered the Ninebot Max or the NIU KQI3 Pro/Max, but it doesn’t have suspension.
VSETT 8 has a suspension, but only 8″ tires. In an ideal world, I would spend under $1,300. Apollo seemed like it had some good options, but the comments about their customer service make me worried. The widewheel pro is another that looked good, though the guide here mentions it has a really stiff suspension.
There’s just so many options out there it’s hard to decide!
