I’ve read the dozen posts about Hover 1 scooters being throw away scooters, but I like to tinker when I have time. My scooter just died suddenly. I took it apart to find that the battery voltage was at zero. I did some testing to find out there were some fried chips probably caused by overheating. I replaced the battery with another one 36V 5AH.
Now the scooter turns on and shuts off with the new battery. I took apart the controller board and noticed that when I turn on the scooter the LCD screen turns on, the controller board receives 36V, and a green LED light on the board lights up. All of a sudden the LED light turns off and the board is now down to 8V. I looked at the board and there are no scorched chips, disclored mosfets, or blown capacitors. I tested the mosfets individually as well and resistance is correct and no continuity. Anyone else have any other suggestions?
