Anyone know where to find parts for a Hover-1 Highlander Pro? So, I’m looking for some advice… I made the mistake of spending $500+ at Best Buy (before reading any reviews…🤦🥺) I need to at least upgrade the brakes, and tires. If that works out- maybe add a seat, cup holder, possibly even a second motor on the rear wheel?
The whole deck of the scooter is hollow so I can build a bigger battery pack and stash the controller in there (possibly… 🤷🏽‍♂️😝). Just looking for some a new, custom project. I’ve been in the automotive industry for 20+years, & I hate to see this thing completely stock lol! BUT. First I need to upgrade the brakes (bigger rotor, hydraulic hopefully, ect.) AND tires("10x"2 [or "3]). Any recommendations on; brands, sites, or even YouTubers that do that kind of stuff? I would appreciate it very much!!😊👍 Thanks for your time! 😁👍

It appears the Highlander Pro is a Bestbuy exclusive based on the Hover 1 Blackhawk. The Hover 1 website does not show any spare parts available and is mostly non functional, at least for me on my tablet. They don’t provide any detailed information at all, such as battery voltage, Ah, brake type, etc.
It looks to me like every thing on this scooter was made specifically for it with no standard parts. The platform of the frame looks too thin and narrow to fit any batteries or controller unless a custom metal box is made to hang underneath, thereby reducing the ground clearance to almost nothing. The rear hanger is too narrow to fit any hub motor that I know of.
I’m not sure I’d want to go too much faster with that single little rear mechanical brake anyway. Can’t tell from the pictures if the brake caliper is a standard mount or not or if the rotor is a standard 6 hole mount.
I’m sorry but I don’t mean to rain on your parade; but as far as upgrades go, this scooter might be a lost cause. Of course if you’re a God level DIYfer and mechanic, then prove me wrong, lol. If it were me, I’d give it to my girlfriend/wife/kid/mistress/dog/alloftheabove and get something else with a better foundation.

If I send you a few pics would you be able to check to see if the parts are standard size? Or possibly guide me to where I can check? And possibly get a bigger rotor and pads on the cheap! Lol… I’m going to TRY and upgrade the tires & brakes to start, cuz it brakes pretty poorly, And the tires are wobbly as hell! 🙄🤦 …
In case your wondering, I’m a mechanic and certified in electronics…, Also I have a TON of 18650 Lion batteries just sitting around. I’ve already built 4 custom batteries out of the individual cells! 😎 (My boys and I leave brusies on each other with our Nerf guns!🤣😇)

I just aquired a Hover-1 Alpha from a lady who purchased at Best Buy, up and died on her. No power but battery is fully charged (sort of, it’ll charge to 37V and then the charger turns green) It will not turn on, there seems to be a 12V power buss issue leaving the controller as I cannot turn the controller on if that is how this one works. There is no remote wire coming off the controller, just a EN (37V) 12V (0V) GND, TX and RX on the 5 pin cable form the display to the brushless controller. You push the power button for 3 seconds and the thing is supposed to beep and light up the display with 00 mph, but it does nothing. Switch tested good on PCB. I jumped 12V into the switch and I was able to turn the display on but it would not power the wheels and then err’d out. The charger output is 41V, charger just wont charge pack to full 41ish volts? Here is the weird part. The Alpha has a disk brake on the website. This one has a rear drum and a 350W motor on front wheel. It also has a Journey type display board (blue) that matches the controller. It has the LED light effects and the Bluetooth speaker below the deck. It doesnt have the electric brake on the left handgrip, just the cable drum brake. Do I have a Journey in Alpha dress? Or a Best Buy Alpha ½? IT says Alpha on the bottom. I may just scrap the $55 controller and go with a aliexpress 350W controller with a control panel for $11, yeah, $11 for both.
