My Ninebot Max (this:

….started to lose it’s pep a couple of months ago and during a ride today it went from ok to almost zero in a course of 25 minutes. It being a 2 year old scooter, my guess is that it’s battery needs replacing?

I’m decent at fixing things although I’m new to scooters.

How likely is my diagnosis correct?
What kind of screwdriver do I need (the screws need some sort of star shape head)?
If I need to get it serviced instead, how do I find a place? (I’ve tried and it’s not as straightforward as I expected).
