Just want to give an update and let people know so they don’t make the mistake I almost did. The GT’s have not landed in North America yet. Some retailers in North America have gone to China and bought them and shipped them back and are selling them here. Segway has said those scooters are different (I assume they don’t have the proper electrical certificates among other things) and will not be covered under any warranty if you have a problem.
I almost bought one of these non North American GT2 as I thought they where slow shipping our GT’s and giving retailers 1st dibs.
Im not going to be listing these retailers by name because I don’t like throwing shade but as a customer be asking the correct questions. And don’t let excitement cloud your judgement. I’m glad I found this out before being stuck with a $4000 scooter with no warranty.
Its disappointing that retailers that are doing this aren’t being very upfront about it and just trying to make a buck from being 1st.
