Getting my first scooter soon and after a lot of research, I have decided to narrow it down to the Okai Neon and the Xiaomi Pro 2. The Neon is $80 cheaper at Best Buy, which is where I’ll be buying from.
I’m really prioritizing durability (how long I can keep the scooter without having it break down to the point where I need a new one), accessibility of parts (in case something breaks down), range, water resistance, portability (I will bringing it to work, class/campus, on public transportation), and general enjoyability. I’ve done a fair bit of research, made easy by ESG, in addition to watching Ben Fox YouTube videos, and it seems like accessibility of parts, range, and portability may go to the Pro 2. However, the Okai Neon has the better price, water resistance, and seems like a VERY enjoyable scooter.
