Here’s how I break down the options you’re considering:
Most range and features for your money, solidly portable, but not as quick as the other two options.
- 1st for range by ALOT (50.3 mi ESG range

- 2nd lightest (53.8 lb ESG weight)
- Semi-hydraulic brakes > Explore / Ghost (mechanical)
- Tubeless pneumatic tires for very good flat resistance
- Slowest of the bunch (26.2 mph ESG top speed, 11 sec 0 to 30 mph ESG acceleration)
- Longest deck (23 in) = more comfortable, but slightly narrower 7.7 in than the other options
- Very solid for portability b/c folding handlebars. and overall folded dimensions will be similar to Explore but smaller than Ghost
Balanced in terms of speed and range and as portable as the Cruiser
- MSRP = $1299 and may be slightly cheaper than Cruiser after discounts
- Lightest of the bunch (52 lbs ESG weight)

Fastest, best performance scooter of the bunch, but heaviest and most expensive; only dual motor scooter of the three

Some final thoughts:
The Ghost is a bit heavier than the other two, but the rounded stem and how it locks down to near the rear kick-plate may actually make it a bit easier to carry than the Cruiser.
The Cruiser has an angular stem that tends to create pressure points on your hand and the stem locks at the hinge mechanism, when folded. This doesn’t seem like a big deal, but because of this the stem can still pivot a bit when it’s in your hand – adding a degree of freedom and making it harder to carry.
The Explore also has an angular stem which, like the Cruiser makes it less comfortable, but it does lock in the rear so you don’t have to worry about the pivoting part.
