Light Enough to Bunny Hop

Hello, I have been riding rental scooters for years and I’m looking to purchase my first performance scooter. I’ve been on two wheels my entire life, and as far as I’m concerned the quicker the electric scooter the better. The thing that I love about Bird scooters for example, is that the roughly 30lb weight allows me to be able to bunny-hop up curbs or over large potholes. Ideally, I would like a scooter that can do 30+ mph but is still light enough to carry easily and can be bunny hopped. Although I would like some of the highest-end ultra fast scooters, I find it hard to imagine having a lot of mobility if the scooter is 60+ pounds. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Hi, you didn’t mention a budget, but maybe look at The kaabo mantis 8 as one choice. I think some of the “EMove” scooter brands are lighter weights as well. Do some searches on YouTube for “best scooters of 2022” and you can maybe get some reviews that might catch your eye. If your really dedicated to using a scooter going forward maybe consider getting one of the middleweights that can give you a combination of power, a decent top speed, decent range, smooth ride (good suspension system), and a reliable brand name that has local support.
