Okai Neon VS. Ninebot Segway G30 Max LP

Hello,

I plan to use an Electric scooter to go to work. This represent a short distance of 2kms 4 Times a day.

I stumbled across these two scooters Which are around the same price. But i am still hesitating. I want a comfy ride and a very sturdy design.

I am not a rider, in fact this will be my first Electric scooter.

Which one do you guys recommand ?

PS: Probably made some english mistake - this is not my main language… sorry about it.

MaxenceGaillard I would recommend the ninebot it’s faster has longer range and a better app. There are more scooters to pick from if it interests you

The G30 Max is a solid last mile scooter and the only brand that i would feel somewhat comfortable to survive light rain conditions. You can’t go wrong with that one and you will have tons of range, beyond your 4 short trips. The G30 has a respectable stable top speed for its class range. The other scooter i am unfamiliar with.

PaulN the okai neon is a new scooter that has a max speed of 15.5 mph with a 25 mile range and a 20% hill climb.

I Also need to Take into consideration the road around my area. There are a lot of old roads. I want to have a comfy ride. Could the lack of suspension of the Ninebot be a problem ?

In fact, I picked these two because I liked their design. They look sleek and modern. I also wanted a White scooter.

Feel free to suggest other scooter though. If they are in the price range of these two.

IMO there are three different types of scooters, the ones you have suggested are Last mile or short distance scooters. They can do some bumpy roads but your going to feel those bumps. My first scooter was a Ninebot, so I have experience with this. Then you get into midrange power scooters that don’t look modular like the Ninebot. They have good suspensions with more travel and even dampers. The ride is very smooth. But now your jumping from $1000 to $1500.00 or more. Then above $2K you start to get get into power scooters where as a commuter it is overkill, but you have specific needs and maybe do long distances regularly, or off road riding, or your a speed junkie lol 🙂. Or you want a fancy scooter that looks like its out of the movie Tron.
