VSETT 9+ or Emove Cruiser

I’m been deciding on a new scooter to get but I narrowed it down to the VSETT 9+ And the Emove Cruiser. I have considered other options like Apollo and Kaabo but I’m on a tight budget. My budget is $1500 so I can’t considered a lot of other options. There are things I like about each scooter and a few that I dislike. The new 2022 Emove Cruiser is going to be released in the near future so I’m waiting to see what it looks like but the suspense is killing me making me just want to get the 9+ right now but I really don’t want to regret my decision like my first scooter. I’m not sure which one to get.

It’s a matter of personal preference really. I have the VSETT 9+ and I love it.
Perfect balance between power and weight for me, as well as great build quality. Plenty of power, but I can still easily carry it or toss it in my trunk when I want to.

2muchcoffee4me is it smooth like everyone claim it to be? Personally I like the looks of the VSETT 9+ more it looks like the company took time to design it plus it looks cool. The Emove cruiser looks like they just took the use the design of another scooter (I forgot the brand) and slap some of their own design on it. But the specs of the cruiser I like more than the VSETT 9+. I do like the fact that the 9+ has dual motors even though I like in a relatively flat terrain that extra power can come in handy. I hate how there’s going to be a new Emove Cruiser coming out soon but theirs no information on it which is really killing me like I want to know now. I do want a new scooter before college starts again but the wait is killing me.

ItsAqua It’s very smooth. Solid also. The folding lock and stem are very solid, so no wobble/play.

It also goes quite well for only being 650Wx2.
I’m extremely happy with mine.

Happy enough that if I upgrade again, I would get the 10+.

2muchcoffee4me I really love the folding mechanism of the 9+ like it’s 3 layers of security. The screw the hook and the pin literally the best folding mechanism I seen my Hiboy S2R has a trash cheap folding mechanism that unlatched on me causing me to crash

I can confirm the smooth ride of the Vsett’s… I’ve had mine, a 9R, for a little over 6 months (₁₆₀ miles) now, and it’s been great! When I bought it, I actually test rode a Cruiser first, and the acceleration felt super jerky… the Vsett was buttery smooth by comparison… If you want my advice, the cruiser looks better on paper… but the riding experience is better on the Vsett.

JacobHorton I completely agree. I can go on longer rides, and I really notice the lack of a teeth rattling ride. Nothing gets sore. It rides like a dream.

JacobHorton to be honest I am leaning more the VSETT 9+ more than the cruiser but the cruiser does have some key points that win me over from the VSETT like the range, semi hydraulic brakes, 10 in tubeless tires, and the IPX6 rating. I don’t wanna get caught in the rain with the VSETT since I has ip54 rating but the VSETT overall has me leaning towards it more than the cruiser. Still waiting to see the new 2022 cruiser first before I make my decision.

ItsAqua Yea. If you aren’t in a hurry, you may as well wait and see what the new cruiser is like (real world testing).

BTW, I know the VSETT has smaller tires, but they are quite wide so it still rides quite well.

2muchcoffee4me I heard that the 8 inch tires often get flats more than any other scooter that have bigger tires. Have you gotten any flats on the VSETT 9+? If so how often?

The new cruiser is taking forever to drop and Voromotors doesn’t have any info on it but they are selling a handle bar piece for the new cruiser which makes no sense

ItsAqua No flats yet, but I check/adjust the pressures before every ride. I run them at 50psi.

ItsAqua I have VSETT9+ for about a year and was great until i got a flat in the rear 6 months ago. it has never the same since the tire was replaced. Then I got front flat in the front 50 miles later and since then, it has had 2 additional flats all with 5 miles after having the inner tube replaced.

I’ve never had a flat, with mine. I just keep the tires at the recommended pressure (45PSI, I think), and gave them a healthy dose of tire slime.
As for the IP rating, I really would worry about it too much… I’ve ridden the Vsett in pretty nasty weather, and haven’t had any issues. I also have a local repair shop that can fix it up if it gets water damage though, so perhaps I’m a little more carefree than I should be.😆

Call it a deathwish if you want, that was a great ride 🤣 … probably don’t recommend it though 😁

JacobHorton what tire slime do you use? Do you use Armor-Dilloz? I wish there is a repair for PEVs where I live but unfortunately there isn’t. I only seen about 10-20 people with their own PEVs and most of them only use it for getting around campus. I am super paranoid about riding in the rain like super every time it rains I start panicking about if I can make it home before it rains.

2muchcoffee4me @JacobHorton do you guys have trouble inflating your VSETT 9 tires? I’m struggling to inflate the tires with the included extender and I feel like after I take off the valve cap all the air gets released but idk my pump doesn’t tell me the psi in the tires.

ItsAqua Depends on the flat. Pinch and slime is … not great. Puncture and slime is better/working. So, the back tyre might have had a pinch flat.

That´s why i like solid honeycomb tyres despite the downsides (at least in the back)

GTRXRider I’m really confused on why the rear tire gets flats easier than the front. I would recommend Kevlar tire sealant like armor dilloz
