Hi Guys, hope all is well.
I know it feels a bit odd comparing scooters from different categories but, a bit of context:
I have been riding electric scooters to comute for two years now. I started with the M365, and then shifted to a Kugoo M2 Pro. My wife is now riding the M365 (it feels unbreakable). After one year of use, the kugoo has about 1000 km on it ( it does not have option to read miles) and the M365 has about 900 miles on, this one after 2 years of ownership.
I used to live about 3 miles from work but recently moved further away (6 miles commute each way). Now we both want to upgrade our scooters to something a bit faster (able to go on the street and keep up with traffic) and more confortable (Full suspension).
I visited a fluid free store and tested the Mantis V2, Mantis 8 PRO and Apollo Explore and the Apollo Phantom. The Phantom just killed the other scooters for me. The suspension felt buttery perfect. The Manti felt to stiff after that. Unfortunately they did not have a Ghost to test drive.
My questions would be:
- Is he Ghost as smooth as the Phantom?
- Considering I like smooth suspension and my commute is a mix of street and sidewalk (with some transitions in between - no curb jumping though) would it then justify to go for the ghost, or would I be perfectly good out on the Mantis?
- Portability wise, I eventually throw the scooters in my trunk (I have a small sedan) for road trips with my wife. Would the ghost be so much worst to fit in the trunk? I know it`s heavier but the folding handlebars seem to help a lot.
