Does battery percentage effects total watt

Hi man,

I want to have Mi electric scooter Pro 2 with me on a flight one Ryanair. It is possible to have a electric vehicle with you if it is in inside the requirements. It need to have a battery of 300 watts max. My scooter has 474 watts with 12400 mAh. My question would we if it’s possible by putting my battery on 30% or even less the watts will go down and make it possible to flight under 300 watts battery pack

not that i know, because it is the number of cells and such that count iirc

Hi Joe,
Most likely the requirement is for Wh (Whatrs Hour), it is confusing but different from whatt.
The first measure the maximum nominal amount of energy that can be store in the battery the second is a power measure (like horsepower).
But your line of thinking is logical:
Power (whatt) = diferencial of potential energy (volts) x current (ampère).
So yes, as you drain the battery the ‘voltage’ drops and in consequence the power with it.
But to actually calculate the voltage in a certain SOC (state do charge) is not easy. You need a lot of info on the pack. It’s easier to measure it.

Going full circle back to the topic, most likely you will not be able to check your scooter.

In time: mAh is another measure of stored energy just like Wh. You can convert one to the other.
