If you could choose any Scooter, what would be your "dream" scooter?

Expanding on a reply I made to in another thread on this forum I just wondered if money wasn’t an object, or if Oprah was doing a giveaway with scooters instead of free cars, what would be your dream scooter ? I have a short list of about 5, but it seems that every week that goes by there is another new entry and the price point to getting a scooter with many good features is is becoming more reasonable

Oh that is very difficult. There´s just two things to consider, registration/tax vs. mobility and no tax/registration and just as a scooter.

If i felt like paying tax and register as motorcycle: Dultron II or Nami-BurnE (favourite). That should really cover it, although a proper e-Bike might be better offroads than either of those scooters, but that would be it.

If inside city limits, Emove Touring without any tax (if i can sneak in the Cruiser, that would be even better).

Cattitude Wow that is one futuristic crazy looking scooter. I have never seen that before. I think Weped has hit on something. There are some crazy “modded” scooters of theirs on you tube that are literally artful masterpieces on two wheels. Something like out of the movie Tron.

PaulN You should go on YouTube and watch video of people riding the Cyberfold. When I first saw it I thought it was an electric motorcycle. It’s actually a cross between a motorcycle and a scooter and is built to be ridden standing or seated. So you get the best of both worlds. It also provides an impressive light show, typical of Weped products.

I have the Phantom already RafaelIM.
It’s a nice solid scooter that has some big features for a mid range price. I have to once again state that Apollo has some amazing marketing, because its a good scooter, but not a “Dream Scooter”. Their videos make it seem that way. 😆 Hey they sold me with them as well. But “the chase is better than the catch” as they say.

My little unofficial survey here would be more like which super model would you like to date if you could choose any supermodel? Reach for the top 10, not number 25 out of 50 choices.

I’d choose a Weped FS - Actually I did choose this, and had it now for 6 months. It was either the FS or Rion Thrust, I wasnt going to wait 1 + year for the Rion, So Weped FS it was….. Brilliant brilliant scooter!!!!!

Timotis Nice! That’s one serious beast.

My next one is going to be tamer than the Weped (speed and on the wallet). I want an VSETT 10+R.

It’s quick but not insane. There’s nowhere around here that I can safely go insanely fast, so I don’t need an insanely fast scoot.

2muchcoffee4me Its a serious beast for sure, and really, its over kill. As an owner, rarely do i use its full potential, and i’d best most of us wouldnt. I think You getting a Vsett 10+R is much smarter, still a amazing performing scooter at almost a 3rd of the price of the FS…… Dont get me wrong the FS is great, but as I said above, Its OVER KILL!!!

2muchcoffee4me they use cheap controllers on the VSETT 10+ and 11+ that’s why there’s a timeout on the sport mode that’s what I heard from a of people. The VSETT 8 and 9+ aren’t affected by this only the 10+ and 11+

ItsAqua aaaaaah ok. Well sport mode is what 10km/h faster (80km/h vs 70km/h) than normal dual top speed on the 10+? I personally don’t think that’s a deal breaker. 70km/h is already bloody fast on a scoot, lol.

ItsAqua I think ther time out feature is to save the controller/motors and other components - The Wepeds are also known to overheat motors’/controller issues after extended time at high speeds, its why Weped are investing time/$$$ into cooling for the lastest models.
Vsett have it right with the Time out feature, no only is it good for the conponets, its good for the rider, forcing them off the speed (in my book a good idea)

2muchcoffee4me I would think the timeout is probably more of a component safety feature vs. a speed limiter, so the motor controllers don’t overheat in a sustained high speed situation and subsequently fail. Maybe at the higher speed their maximum heat range could be surpassed after a certain time.

PaulN Yea. I think it’s more of a “boost” mode. More for short term passing speed boost, etc.

What do you mean “time-out”?

Does this mean, they throttle after a while? This reads to me, that they do not use “continuous power” rating, but “peak power”, which is NOT what the motor can sustain. If you put more voltage/amps through it than it can sustain, it sure will overheat and die soon. Correct me if i am wrong.

GTRXRider the.VSETT 10+ and 11+ allows you to ride in sport mode for like 2 mins then it times out requiring about 5 mins to cooldown while you ride

GTRXRider - As said above - Its like a sport moce/crazy mode at the press of a button, but only last a short amount of time, then cuts off making sur eit doesnt over heat or die…
