Is the extend protection plan offered by Fluid Free Ride worth anything? Has anybody used it?

No Jim, I haven’t. But like auto extended warranties you’ll probably never use it, and a quality scooter is much simpler than cars. The battery is the only single item on one that could be costly and if you take proper care of it, be it acid or lithium ion, they last a VERY long time. I just upgraded my scoot after riding it for 8 years and lithium battery was still going strong. I bought from Super Bicycles and Scooters in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Great outfit. Been there with the same owner/team for long time. Suggest you check out their website. I can vouch these folks stand behind their scooters.

Kind of depends on how far you are from a Fluid Free Ride center and how mechanically competent you are. If you’re far from a center then shipping of the scooter to them is on your dime or if they send you replacement parts then it’s up to you to do the grunt work of installing them. I’d also want to know whether or not the extended warranty starts when you get the scooter or when the manufacturer’s warranty expires. I remember buying an extended warranty for a car and finding out afterwards that it starts as soon as I picked up the car. Since the car already had the manufacturers warranty I totally wasted my money.
