Interesting video. Is completely irrelevant for me, as i do not have a car. I have to calculate bus ticket vs. scooter AND repair/tyres.

- Pump for air filled tyres
- 2 tyres per year

For me: 7-8 months in the best case scenario, which works out to 2 years, because riding during snow/ice is a bit iffy. 4 months per year substituted by scooter. And if you can actually walk and only take the bus if you need more distance covered or whatever, it is even more bleak how long it takes to break even.
Long story short: I did not regret buying it, it made life more comfortable, trips shorter and i need more range (age and reality/wind reduces range in conjunction with not so great tyres). Just saying that the cost calculation seems cherry-picked and say, three different scenarios coulda been covered.
Anyways, even if it did not pay itself off (this year…) it can be worth it.
