If you’ve haven’t seen ,these are Ramier’s Big Dawg approved single-motor scooters (all under $1500 US)
The Ghost (review for Big Dawgs) wasn’t out at the time the list was made (and is also dual motor), but is going to have better performance than any of the other scooters mentioned, in terms of hill climb, accell and top speed.

We run all our tests with a 165 lb rider, so don’t expect to get the numbers achieved. However, our testing is consistent across scooters so the relative performance trends will be true at higher weights. The Ghost is the best performing scooter <$1500 that we’ve tested.
For these reasons, my recommendation would be to look strongly at the Ghost – it would be dissapointing to end up with something underpowered.
I’d also see if @dvosknyc or @RamierRamier have any other suggestions.
