I own a touring, and it is light enough for me, but at 40 lbs it is still a hefty thing to lug on and off the train and in into the trunk. Once you get over 20lbs you need to make sure you are using good mechanics to lift especially for people that are not as fit.
My little research on esg put the E-TWOW GT 2020 at the top for price, speed, range, and 30 lbs WEIGHT . I hope to buy it for my girl at some point (hopefully they update it). It can carry 280lbs as well so I could use it as a back up for myself too. Range is 15.2 mi vs 18.7 mi for touring, but if weight is a factor your options are limited.
Remember, after about 8 mph there is no safe egress from the scooter, you will fall so gearing them up should be part of the cost calc.
