I bought a Mantis 10 V2 with the upgraded battery in May. I’ve put over 2250 km on it. The only problem I have had is a faulty throttle which they replaced with a faulty throttle and I am waiting on the next replacement but I have been able to ride the entire time Using only the rear motor I cruise at 32mph. With both motors I cruise at 38mph. I kept the 2.5″ × 10″ tire on the front for better steering but I put a 3″ × 10″ on the back for better braking traction and the better traction has helped my acceleration from a stop. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the distance I can travel on a charge. I have the initial acceleration set for soft, the Regen brakes are on ( in s non scientific test the Regen brakes added almost 5% to my distance on a charge), and I do not use cruise control. If I ride conservatively I have gotten as much as 34 miles on a charge using one motor. I tend to ride pretty hard with both motors and I can count on going 24 miles. If I am facing heavy headwinds then I get 22 miles. I weigh about 95kg and I carry about 9kg in tools and other things. The scooter weighs 31kg. I’ve added dual headlights which I use for other drivers to see me and I aimed the scooter headlight about 5m in front of me for better road visibility. I use a u- lock and cable to secure the scooter. It has no security of it’s own. I am also adding turn signal/ running lights to the ends of the handlebars for better visibility. They make folding handlebars for the Mantis but it wasn’t feasible with everything in my cockpit. The scooter comes with the throttle, light switch and motor selection switch. I’ve added a phone holder, tire pressure monitor, 2 lights and a speaker. I’ve actually added a handlebar extender just to fit everything, so folding handlebars aren’t an option for me. One of the most important accessories for me is the tire pressure monitoring system (SYKIK Rider SRTP 300, $54.95 USD on Amazon) it works great and when I lost a gasket their customer service was excellent. It helps me keep the tire pressure exact, which is important and it give me a heads up when you are getting a flat ( side note, I tried Flat Out in my tires to plug flats. It did NOT plug even the smallest hole). With both motors inclines have not been an issue at all. You can engage the 2nd motor when you are riding, just make sure you release the throttle, engage the 2nd motor, then engage the throttle. The 2nd motor adds a lot of torque and if you engage it while accelerating there a good chance it will accelerate out from under you. The cost with tax was about $2200 USD. I hope I covered all of your concerns. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me. I absolutely love this scooter. It gives a great ride, has excellent power, handles well it’s very solid and well made and I can recommend it to you without any hesitation. I wish you the best of luck. Happy scootering, Jim
