The Electric Scooter Helmets Guide need an update

Hi , I was browsing around and having fun reading all about Scooters in this awesome website but I noticed there are some famous well-known standards are missing from the guide

1- ECE
2- Fim

I know Fim is overkill for E-scooters but for the sake of info/knowledge I think it should be mentioned 😃 ? also the ECE is not far from Snell etc.. so I think it should be there.

what do you guys think?

And best advice would be in that guide - check helmets locally instead of being silly and buying online without having a single clue. Or check in local shop and buy online if you short on cash.
Another addition would be - scooters are not bikes, your helmet if its full face will fog up even with anti-fog feature. You gotta find the helmet with great ventilation!

This guy does the most honest review of helmets and the certification standards that I have seen anywhere. He has a bunch of videos that are useful not only on helmets but on many different types of safety gear. There was a specific video that I watched but I can’t find it that describes all of the standards and their strengths and weaknesses. This one is certainly worth watching.

I agree. We’re due for an update.

I would trust ECE or FIM also.

I think full-face is a must at any speed over 10mph. My worst crash injury ever was at 15mph.

Since I wear glasses (when I’m not on camera) I’ve got built-in eye protection tend to ride scooters with the visor open. Having it almost closed is also pretty good for preventing fog if you’re moving at all.

I really like Fog-City (and equivalent) stick-on fog shields. Some even come in a self tinting variant. The only thing I don’t like about these is they do add an extra layer of glare when you’re riding at night.
