How much air should you keep in 11” tires?

My priority is tire being as puncture proof as possible, so my 10′ tires are at 48psi (out of 50max). Ive heard low psi tires have more chance to get punctured. So check the numbers on your tire, it says what max psi it can handle, but if you are heavy guy you probably shouldnt make them at max air.

Max99 is right about higher pressure preventing flats.

The good news is that most 11″ tires are tubeless which makes them much much less vulnerable to pinch flats, so you can play around with tire pressure a little more.

We usually run them at the mfg recommended pressures which tends to be 45 to 50 psi.

You’ll get a smoother ride at lower pressures, of course. You’ll probably also have slightly better braking and front wheel traction under hard acceleration as pressure goes down, until you get to about 40 psi. You’ll lose a little range at lower pressure, but not that much. We haven’t done a comprehensive study on that yet.

It should have recommended pressures on the sidewall.
Generally, lower pressure offers a better, smoother ride absorbing small bumps while offering superior traction(more tire on the road, conforming to the surface). High pressure offers less rolling resistance and less likely to pinch flat although I’m unsure how much this is an issue outside of really extreme riding like catching air or riding off road and hitting sharp bumps. Obviously, this is only an issue with tubed not tubeless set ups.
Personally, I prefer lower pressure up front where traction is vital and more in the back for a bit faster rolling.
Your personal ride preferences will vary as will how your scooters suspension behaves because tires are effectively a form of suspension so it’s important to have them work well together.
