So I read that with electric scooters you should plug into the outlet and then the scooter, (unless specified in manual), well the manual (and roadrunner customer service) said plug into scooter first then outlet. Well I heard a small arc with one of the charge ports but didn’t think much of it, until the second time it blew up on me and burnt my hand. They are sending me replacement port and charger, but I’m curious if they are mistaken by saying scooter first? It says on your guide for charging that plugging in scooter first may cause sparking, and well, it did. But roadrunner is saying it’s because debris got in it. (They discontinued the port covers but are now send those too). Should I keep with their specific instructions, or plug into outlet first.
