Hill climb angle

I was interested in the fact that you had hill climb speed, but the problem I have is that I need to know the hill climb angle. I need to be able to get up hills of about 20 degrees.

One of the scooters I was looking at, the Emove Cruiser 2021 edition, seems to have a 1000w motor, but the stats say it can only go up a 10 degree incline (which could possibly just be the stats from the old 600w version perhaps?). With that much power, it surprises me that it is so low, although it is tuned for range (perhaps that means the acceleration isn’t great too?)

What degree angle hill can the Emove Cruiser go up?

I’m not sure the angle it can climb but I’ll tell you, I sent my Evercross H5 back because it would barely climb a slope much less a hill. My new Fiebor 5,600W, 60V, 36Ah will climb any hill it faces. My driveway is straight up and it zips right up it. I live on top of the mountain overlooking the city below and had to have a scooter to get me around this little community and I couldn’t have made a better selection. This little bike will do 40mph no problem. Unfortunately I bought it from Fieabor’s home site in China and it’s like pulling teeth to get them to send me parts. I should have purchased it on Amazon. 10% incline. Stated in the actual test reports, so your 20% is … steeper. 250W is no good at all, maybe going for Big Dog approved label, in lieu of 20% test (or wait until ESG clarifies it)

On the Voromotors web site they say 20%. Scooters have been known to not fully reach their specs, but if you consider that less powerful scooters have made it up the hill (in ESG tests), then the Cruiser should do it.

A Gotrax XR Elite - had one - went up the hill in 23.9 sec, the Segway in 16 seconds. 300w vs 350 w motor and possibly a few factors intervening. Likely a 1,000w motor would do much better.

Wow, a 20 degree incline is really steep.

Our 10% grade test hill is a 200ft long incline that rises 20ft. That’s a little less than a 6 degree incline.

There is no single motor scooter that’s going to climb a 20 degree hill. You’re going to need at least a light-heavyweight scooter like a 60V Vsett10+ Kaabo Wolf Warrior X, Dualtron Victor etc, but even then, I’m not 100% sure they’re make it.

72V heavyweights like the Wolf King GT, NAMI, Storm, etc for sure will make it up a 20degree incline.

I guarantee you my 5,600W dual drive, 60V, 36Ah would climb it. My driveway couldn’t be any steeper and my Fiebor zips right up it. I bought this scooter just because of it’s hill climbing ability. I live on top of a mountain overlooking the city below and I have yet to find any hill my scooter want tackle and tackle with power to spare. Especially in gear 3 with turbo and dual drive on.
