I’m hoping for the perfect scooter. I’m an energetic 73 years old, weigh 130 pounds and use the scooter for short trips around Hollywood and up the hill to Griffith park. My first priorities are a smooth ride and hill climbing power, quality build, and hopefully low maintenance. Also important would be portability ( put in trunk of car sometimes). I actually bought an Unagi One, because I loved the look and portability, but had to return it the next day because the ride was extremely rough. The shop here in LA where I got it then sold me a “Greenbike X2” which was a smoother ride - had suspension, but solid wheels so still a bumpy ride and not a lot of power. Also the acceleration is not smooth like the rental scooters I have tried. What would be ideal would be a removable battery so I don’t have to drag the scooter upstairs to charge it. Price is not important if it has all the above specs. I saw one on internet called “Anyhill UM-2” with website showing a stylish scooter with removable battery and 450 W power, suspension and 10 inch vacuum tires, that looked almost ideal, however, they do not respond to emails and their phone number does not function, so that’s a red flag. I’m looking forward to finding the perfect scooter with reliable customer service and would appreciate any advice.
