Another great subject John.
I hope that as scooters get more and more popular, forums like this one will be the source of real down and dirty repair info.
The thing that forums do better than any other source is to show you what not to do! So much more important than showing you what to do, like a repair manual.
To me the most valuable part of a forum repair post is the “oh man, here’s the part where I pulled the wrong direction on this piece of trim and broke off the stupid tab”. Published repair manuals never want to tell you about how they broke stuff while fixing it. Emphasising common pitfalls is the most important part!
Anyway, at some point, we’ll have enough folks on here to get really granular with the discussion categories and have things like the X2 repair and modification forum, where experts like yourself can share all the best and worst things to do! :-)
