Apollo Phantom: what competitors should i check out before purchase?

Hello,

I’m looking to purchase Apollo Phantom. I really liked the scooter in terms of its engineering and attention to detail. however, I cannot help but think I have to check out some of its competition before I spend $2000 on something.

I live in a fairly hilly town, I look forward to riding my scooter on streets, bike lanes, parks and lightly uneven grassy terrain. I’m also guessing a total ride of about 30 km 3-4 times a week.

So I’m here with a few questions.
a) What other bikes should i check and compare before i buy the Apollo Phantom?
b) should I be waiting for another month or two if you are anticipating a launch of a new model or a new bike?

The Phantom is a high performance scooter with many bells and whistles(though I don’t consider it a crazy “beast scooter”) and that is much of what you are paying for.

If you are okay with something more basic, with less speed and acceleration, then you could go with a decent single-motor scooter. Some options that fit your requirements:

Apollo Explore
EMOVE Cruiser
EMOVE Touring

Alternatively, if you want something high performance, but less bells and whistles and less refinements, then I’d look at the more “basic” dual-motor scooters like:

Kaabo Mantis
Apollo Ghost

The Phantom V2 should be launching soon (and we just got our hands on one) so you might want to wait to see how that looks as well.

Assuming you are going to test the Phantom V2 for sometime. When do you think we would be able to get a look at the scooter and what it has to offer?
