Hello everyone just :seeing the vendors not to go to for purchasing a kaabo or dualtron??

The first electric scooter I bought was a Gotrax and I ended up getting burned because of their customer service. I ended up upgrading to a Dualtron after looking at both the Kaabo and Dualtron lineup. Here’s what I uncovered from my research (assuming you’re in the US):

Best Dualtron dealer - VORO motors. I ended up buying from here. Longest warranty. Competitive pricing. Shipped quickly. Had issue with stem that they resolved quickly. People raved about USA Minimotors but after diving deeper I realized biggest benefit to them is if you live wherever their shop is. They had shorter warranty and frankly wasn’t too impressed when I tried to get ahold of them with some questions. If I’m spending more than $2,000 on a product I expect you to take time to answer a few basic questions. Ended up speaking with some disinterested hipster and just got a bad vibe. Maybe if you ride with those dudes then they are cool, but overall not impressed. Also, they had WORSE pricing and SHORTER WARRANTY than VORO. I think they are a small time dealer specialty and VORO has better volumes and can offer more for less. USA Minimotors seems to be a drop shipping operation and I couldn’t even find anyone who had made a purchase from them (steer clear).

Best Kaabo dealer - Fluid Freeride (USA) OR Kaabo Alibaba store if you want absolute lowest price and don’t care about service. I read 10 to 20 testimonies from different buyers on Reddit and various forums. Freeride seems to sell ALOT. Some people have gotten PISSED at them when they drop the ball. However, almost all the testimonials/reviews etc that I saw people were eventually helped / had their problems resolved. People who didn’t fall into this muck seemed to be very positive on Freeride.

Disclaimer: I bought from VORO and was pleased with them. They starter a referral program to help with sales and I’m NOT signed up for it (no links or referral codes from me here). Don’t have time to hock scooters but want to help others.

Aero999 Hi thanks for the post. I read some negative comments on the VORO regarding their post sales service. I am interested to purchase Emove Cruiser from VORO. as I am not a mechanical and don’t know much how to troubleshoot, i would like to have more feedbacks on how they handle the repair calls and how their services are for the warranty / out of warranty issue. Otherwise, I might consider to get a VSETT from REV Rides but they seem a bit more expansive than AlienRides.

Bes0ne I haven’t bought from Alibaba, but a bit of searching and you will find surprisingly satisfied customers. It seems like you won’t get the level of service from someone local, but not bad considering 30% discount. I would only select this option if you are mechanical and willing to troubleshoot with some parts support from Alibaba folks.

realscooterguy Great question, there were a small number of negative comments about our after sales service when we were scaling logistics and service. We have been back on track for the past 2 months , haven’t seen any unusual negative comments recently.

Try reaching out to our service team through any form of channel, we are very accessible. 🙂

realscooterguy I looked at the VSett lineup too, but wasn’t so sure on it. I went with the Dualtron because they’ve been around a long time and seems like a tested brand. Warranty is much better from AlienRides on VSett, if they back it up. The ReVRides warranty is actually a joke. Their one year warranty is actually 30 days unless you want to risk shipping a really heavy scooter back and fourth and paying for it:

Claims made after 30 business days of delivery will be eligible for replacement parts and the customer will be asked to pay for shipping of parts."

But look at the AlienRides warranty (https://alienrides.com/pages/warranty-information)

“Alien Rides covers shipping, or the cost of a local repair, for all warranty repairs. We have an extensive repair center network and can generally get your ride fixed quickly no matter where you live. We try to stock a variety of parts, but occasionally parts will run out. We will do our best to order these parts from the manufacturer.”

They cover it all AND for 2 YEARS. Crazy. It’s not even close.

melvin Thanks Melvin. Do you have any plans to explain the repair centers/network to Orange County, CA? Having to bring the scooter to LA area is a long fetch especially how horrible traffic is in Southern CA.

realscooterguy No near term plans to set up in OC yet but Irvine could be a viable location if our ridership in that region grows. But if you know any repair center that would be interested to repair electric scooters we are more than happy to allocate time to provide comprehensive training!

I purchased my first scooter, the Wolf Warrior 11 from Kreomotors.com. They were very helpful throughout the entire process of my warranty period and were always available when I had questions.

melvin are you aware of any repair centers to repair electric scooters in/around Irvine?

I bought my wolf king straight from the factory. During the latst 3 months or so I’ve reached out more times than I can count through email which doesnt get answered and through facebook which gets seen but again doesnt get answered. I don’t know much about kaabo but had I know their cs was so bad I’d never had purchased one of their products.

Christian The main role of factories in the distribution chain is to supply products. Conducting retail and service is not their expertise.

A good factory would be spending the bulk of their time in designing, creation, production and quality inspection of their products. (Eg. Minimotors do this pretty well, they just focus on creating products and leave the rest to their respective partners)

I would not say that their cs is bad but Kaabo does not have a CS department for direct to consumers. Would highly recommend folks to avoid buying from factory, a good factory will not sell direct. A new/small factory would sell direct.

I just bought Emove Cruiser from Voro motors here in LA. I was totally impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of Edgar, the technician who went over all the details, warranty, etc. with me during the sale. And when I had a question the next day, the tech team answered my call immediately and was super helpful.
