I actually have been experimenting for hours and testing all sort of settings and they DO affect the throttle response BIG TIME.
I found that going to menu P.2 while I’m in eco mode, will allow me to alter the throttle response. if I limit the speed in ECO in P.2 menu to anything below 16 or so, the throttle becomes completely lazy, and the scooter will only go up to 5mph. Very relaxing, but it is too slow.
Now as soon as I up the limit to say 18,19 and especially 20 and above, the scooter throttle becomes aggressive.
It is still nowhere near as aggressive as SPORTS mode.
I tried to go into SPORT and go to menu P.2 and limit the speed there to a low speed (can’t remember what it was but probably 10mph) and the throttle would no longer work at all. So i went back to ECO and tried all sort of speed limits hoping to find a setting that would yield a gentle throttle reaction but allow up to 10 mph speed, but it is failing.
It’s either Dr Nefario speed (5mph limit) and easy going throttle reaction OR Wild Bronco speed where I feel I’m in a rodeo everytime that throttle accelerate, and the scooter is trying to buck me off… I know to move my weight forward but it is so jerky you barely have time to.
The bigger problem I have is that the throttle reacts differently from one moment to the next. let me illustrate: I’ll be riding on flat and push the throttle half way down and it starts gently, slugishly, a moment later still riding on flat I push it again the same way and now the scooter JUMPS. (WTF????) I just can’t trust it.
Also, as soon as I am on an uphill grade of any sort it suddenly kicks on extra power and jumps forward. If I am on a downgrade the throttle barely does anything at all, it’s like it’s dead.
Does this scooter have actual gears? that might explain the behavior, seems it is downshifting gear when tackling a climb and with smaller gear, comes more response (but I’m speculating).
Anyways it is way too jerky and so far I am not happy with it because of that.
But am not giving up though, just yet. I have reached out to the powers to be at INOKIM and we are in communication so I hope they have suggestions as to how to finetune my scooter’s behavior (if that is even doable). Let’s see what they say about my latch problem, too.
I’ll keep you guys posted.
