I really enjoy chuck’s reviews from his point of view as a rider who carried his PEV up a flight of stairs. I’m in the same situation as i believe many also are. PEVs are perfect in urban environments, where 2-4 story walkups are ubiquitous, where parking is problematic, where bicycling lanes are growing evermore present, and i can arrive in non-sporting attire unsweated. Chuck’s point of view where weight matters helps push the PEV technology in very real ways. Anyone can build a bigger and badder scooter, if weight was not a concern, hell, all the way up to a standup motorcycle weighing over 200 pounds and do over 100mph. But under 55 lbs! That’s something different. Pushing performance, scooter build, and ride quality, now that requires raising the bar on materials and battery technology. So I say, thanks to chuck’s point of view.
