Hello all – at 57 I’m the oldest person in my city in the southwest of England that I’ve seen on a scooter!
I’ve owned five scooters. Had two of them stolen and have sold one, a Fuze Max, which had a terrible stem wobble. I was surprised the new owner didn’t seem to mind it.
So now I’ve got a Pure Second Generation 500w and an InMotion L9 which is also 500W but is much more torquey and copes a lot better with the hills. If only they could have made the L9 with a shorter stem. It takes a lot of getting used to and the Pure is more comfortable to manoeuvre.
I’m looking towards a Vsett dual motor or an Inokim Ox because even the L9 slows down quite a bit on some of the long hills I have to get up regularly.
But I am a huge convert to scootering, despite a couple of accidents. The last one shook my confidence quite a bit. It rains a lot here and I slipped over on some wet leaves. It’s coming back though, but I’m looking for proper motorcycle gear to wear. Happy scootering everyone!
