I don’t know of anyone who has done it, but it definitely looks like 3″ wide tires will fit on both ends. You might get very slightly lower acceleration and very slightly shorter range with larger tires, but it would be small enough to be difficult to measure. The main difference would be how the profile of the tire looks when it’s on the scooter. A wider tire will usually give you a more blunt profile and slower steering, which I think is a good thing. On the other hand, the rim is going to pinch things in a little and sharpen that profile up. So you won’t have quite as blunt of a profile mounting a 3″ wide tire on these rims as you would mounting them on wider rims. I don’t think you’ll see a huge change though.
