It seems that they sell different versions in different regions to accommodate for different laws / market needs.
In North America, people expect a faster scooters if they are paying a premium price.
The scooter manufacturers also tend to have very confusing designations for slightly different versions of the same scooter. The same model can also change from year-to-year with no obvious change in its name that tells you its a different product.
I don’t think this is intentionally meant to be deceiving, but it’s also confusing for us. These companies need to get consistent and unique naming for each product so consumers don’t get confused learning about one and then end up buying a different version.
