A scooter generally becomes bricked after a failed attempt to update the firmware. Typically the scooter won’t power on or do anything and is effectively useless because the software that controls it is broken. Usually when a scooter becomes bricked it’s effectively because you won’t be able to flash the firmware again.
Bricked is in reference to an actual brick.
