Wolf Warrior 11 electrical issue

I have an intermittent problem with the Minimotors EY3 controller on my Wolf Wariior 11.

When I have the settings on zero regenerative braking there are no issues.

When I set 1-5 for regenerative braking sometimes (intermittently) after braking and coming to a stop, then releasing the brakes, the controller assumes the regen braking is still being applied and the controller will not power on when the throttle is pulled. This is problematic having no power when wanting to accelerate at traffic lights. After I push it manually and resting for a while the throttle will provide power again.

When I first got the scooter the 5 regen brake settings were not linearly progressive from one setting to the other in the intensity of braking effect. The regen braking difference between setting 1 and 3 was massive, and between 3 and 5 not much difference. I settled on 3 which provides relatively heavy braking.

I like regen braking as it does add to my total distance travelled before charging and it reduces wear and tear on brake pads. I have never used the ABS braking in P settings.

Any idea why this loss of power might be happening?

Have you checked to make sure the brake lights aren’t on when this is happening? I’m wondering if your brake light switches are sticking on. The switches are adjustable on most scooters. I’ll have to look at our Warrior 11 to see if the switches adjust.

The guys that race these in the Philippines complained about delay between brake and throttle, even with the regen all the way down, so they actually disconnected the brake light switches, since they weren’t using regen to begin with.

Sorry for the late reply but have just joined the forum and been looking for this exact problem. I have a new Wolf Warrior X plus (lt-01 display) with this issue. Brake lights were flashing while stopped and brakes not being used. I’m aware the throttle is automatically disengaged while breaking so I wheeled the scooter backwards while breaking on and off. This fixed the problem but I would love to know if you have found the cause in case it happens again. Also I turned off the regenerative breaking once but twice got an E10 communication error on the display so turned it back on and had no errors since. Let me know if you found a solution or have any advice.

The first places to look, when brake lights are stuck on are the switches on the levers. Pulling the lever triggers the brake light switch, which triggers regen brake and also cuts throttle. Some of the switches are adjustable, so you can control when they kick in. I can’t tell if the ones the Wolf X levers adjust or not.

We’ve also seen the E-10 show up on our Wolf Warrior X base model, but never seen it impact the way the scooter functions. I would like it if Kaabo solved that though.

Thanks Paul. I’ll keep an eye on the switches if it happens again. I turned off the regen brakes in the P settings but then I get an E10 error (communicate issue single receive) so turned them back on.

I just got my Wolf Warrior X base model. It’s been awesome but the same problem is happening to me. The brake lights keep flashing after I let off the brakes and The throttle won’t work. I have to roll it back and forth and or hit the brakes again to make it stop. It happened to me 4 times during my first 30 minute ride. Sometimes it’s stuck for 30 seconds. Defiantly not safe for traffic.

Is there a way to adjust the switch/ what does it look like? The base model doesn’t have a p setting for Regen braking as far as I can tell.

The regen brakes P setting for the Wolf Warrior X base model (called X Plus in Australia) is P8. It is in the user manual for the LT-01 display.
