12ax7
12ax7 Ninebot Max is hard to beat at that price range. We have tested the GMAX which is very expensive for a GOTRAX scooter and had somewhat disappointing real-world performance, combined with reports of lack-luster post-purchase support it’s out, for me.
Here’s the scooters I’d look at in that range:
I threw them all into this comparison tool:
And first looked at ESG real-world performance tests:
Then features (note: in this view, top speed, etc are mfg. claimed on not our results):
I’d recommend you start here, then jump into individual reviews to get the real riding experience. Prices on some of these will be lower due to coupons/sales/etc and I think all will be under your $800 limit.
Here’s how I think of each of these scooters:
- Air Pro - budget option with solid features
- Touring - quickest w/ amazing ride quality due to wonderful suspension / massive deck; favored by larger riders
- Horizon - very well-rounded features (suspension, etc), solid performance
- Ninebot Max - range champion, dual tubeless pneumatic tires are nearly impervious to flats, reliable like a hammer
