Thumb Throttle for the Apollo Ghost

I am not real comfortable with the finger throttle on the Ghost. I have looked for other alternatives that align with the QS-S4 LCD throttle unit. The one that REV Rides has is a definite option. It has a horizontal trigger which could work. I was interested in something that was more vertical in movement (like the Ninebot max, Apollo Air, Apollo Phantom style) and would even consider experimenting with something along the lines of the wheel throttle found on the Boosted Rev. The LCD with Thumb Throttle for Zero Scooters is a plug and play no-brainer. I am just wondering if others have tried and been successful with other options?

MartyClayton The QS-S4 throttles are generic units that come with either the standard trigger or increasingly popular thumb throttle version. You should be able to swap the thumb throttle unit into any scooter that is using the QS-S4. The majority of new scooters on the market that use the QS-S4 have plug and play connectors so installation should be quick and easy. Almost every retailer, is carrying the replacement QS-S4 thumb throttle as an optional accessory.

As for horizontal vs vertical movement, I haven’t seen any obvious drop-in replacement throttles for the QS-S4 that are vertical like the Ninebot Max, Air, etc. VORO has a twist throttle for their EMOVE Cruiser, but I don’t think it’s necessarily drop-in compatible with anything else.

MartyClayton Possibly and some units may simply not be compatible with the controller in the deck.
