So,
it has been a while since using it (no, it did not get sold). Charging and range are still fine. The odomoter has rolled over after 1000 miles (and displays 111.1 miles instead of accurate 1111.1 miles). A few rides through rain were done, some heavier some slight drizzles. Never stored outside for more than 1-2 hours and mostly when dry.
Tyres: Still work at 60 PSI and no flat tyre. No need to replace it, yet.
Battery compartment:
Well, here a mistake definitely occurred. I did not realise (after a while) that the rattling noise did in fact come from the battery attachment (and not other screws). That shows up “early” and needs to be checked. Better yet, locktite right when receiving that thing.
In the end, i did lose at least one screw and needed two things to keep that e-Scooter running:
- Locktite
- Duct tape
Brakes: Still really “meh” and 30 km/h is too fast for quick brakes and defensive riding a must.
So, lesson is: inspect the unexpected also, and it is a budget brand. I would not have considered the battery compartment being attached the way it is, but i guess that was the cheapest way to accomplish it.
