I got my hands on the Taur. While it doesn’t have quite enough range for my specific needs, it does have a lot going for it. The scooter’s large tires make for a pretty smooth ride. Even on bumpy bits, there was no perceivable wobble in the steering column. The side-by-side foot stance was a little weird at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly. The hill climb was okay, but couldn’t handle the steepest hills in my area - this is the downside of the big wheels. The acceleration/launch left a lot to be desired, and isn’t customizable at the moment. The speed limiter is jerky if you turn it on, but the ride is smooth if you turn it off.
The box included a spare tire tube, and a set of stamped tools, which was a nice surprise. No assembly was required - just pull the scooter out, lock the steering column, and go. Support usually took a day turn-around to respond to my questions, so pretty reasonable there too.
Overall, I’d say the Taur is a good scooter, with some rough edges I expect they’ll round out in a software update or two. Would recommend (if you can get your hands on one).
