Scooway scooter motherboard wiring

Just wondering if anyone knows the correct wiring for the scooway scooter motherboard. Not sure which colour wire to solder where. Any help much appreciated

Unfortunately I’m not familiar with that scooter at all. I can see 12V and ground marked there, but I’m not sure what the others are. I did a quick google search and didn’t find any results. What’s the exact make and model?

Thanks Dr Scoot. It’s a Scooway LV1 scooter. I think tx is transmitter (maybe for bluetooth) and 3rd is receiver. Basically I have a green brown yellow ref and black wire. But I’m not sure what connects to what and i don’t want to fry it. I looked online but couldn’t find the circuit board anywhere. I’m not great with this stuff just trying to learn about it. Sorry bit of a noob

TX and RX are are transmit and receive, but probably for a UART interface (digital, wired communication protocol). This protocol is typically used for programming integrated circuits, debugging, or communication between them.

What wires are you trying to connect it them to? Can you give some more details on the board (and a photo from the opposite side), what you are trying to connect it to (e.g. battery management system or ?) and photos of everything. More information is helpful.

Hi Justin

Thanks for the reply. I have added a few more pics. The first is the connector that then leafs to the motherboard. It has blue pink black green and blue wires in that order.

2nd pic. The accelerator. Has black red and green attached.

3rd pic. Brake. Red black and blue attached

4th pic. Power input for charger. Red and black cable.

Can I assume from this red is power (12v on motherboard). Black ground.

Any idea about the other combination

I think:

red = +12V
black = ground

Is a fair guess, but I would verify with a multimeter before connecting. Everything else on there is probably +5V and connecting power to it might fry it.

As for TX/RX pins: definitely a digital communication bus, probably UART and will be operating between 0 and +5V. Ideally, you would have access to an oscilloscope and you could test this, but I’m guessing you don’t. Flipping these shouldn’t matter and you’ll know if they aren’t connected correctly b/c (I’m guessing they feed the display) the display won’t work correctly.

The only pin I’m not sure about is the one labeled DS. It’s probably not above +5V, but I would check it if you choose to start start guessing which wire goes where.

I’m assuming that you’ve hooked everything else up correctly.

justin thanks for all your help. I’ll have a go at it this weekend. Much appreciated. Hopefully get it working. My flatmate pulled it apart cos it wasn’t working. I’m pretty sure he just didn’t charge it. But what can you do.
