hi so im new to all this ,scootering and forums.so i have a wolf warrior gt pro and recently i was riding it and it started bucketing down but i still rode home as i had no other way to get home,but my problem now is that i cant seem to get the thing to charge past 20% and was wondering if somone could point me in the direction of what could be wrong or what i should do

Do not charge it!!!
Do not park it in your house!!
If by bucketing you mean raining hard, you have water in your deck.
Open up your deck and check EVERYTHING.
If your battery pack got wet, it’s now unsafe and should be inspected closely and possibly replaced. Water causes corrosion. Corrosion in a battery pack = short circuit+thermal runaway.

Yes, I am sounding scary. There is a LOT of energy in those lithium packs, and if they go up in flames due to a short, they will burn your house down.

I would not park that scooter anywhere near your house until you take it apart and inspect it/dry it.

Damn thanks for that info so its been about 3 weeks and its been open and dried out since ? I havnt botherd charging as itnwont go past 20%,mayb inshould just take It to the shop grrrr was hoping for a easy fix haha…thankyou so mich for your reply

SPUNKYWRECK202 I would definitely get it checked out for safety reasons. Maybe it’s something simple, like the charger just failed. It’s just that there’s serious safety concerns when water is involved with electronics. Better safe than sorry.

You could also remove the deck cover and check the actual voltage at the battery pack with a multimeter. It could be a bad BMS.

this is true ! ok so if i test the voltage at the battery will this tell me if its a bad bms ?or are you saying those as two seperate problems that it could be/to check?

SPUNKYWRECK202 check the actual voltage at the battery when the charger is done.
If it’s a BMS or a battery issue, they are one and you can’t replace them separately.

That’s a 60 volt scooter I believe, so full charge should be about 67.2 volts

DAMNN batterys are probably very expensive ,im scared to look lol
awsome man will give that a go as soon as i get back home,am on holiday at the moment was veeeeeery upset i couldnt bring my scooter 😆

SPUNKYWRECK202 They aren’t cheap. They’re the most expensive part of a scooter. They can be rebuilt by some battery shops though, assuming that’s the actual issue.

Question

Did you need to end up removing the grips to remove the right side controllers to put on the left side? I was disassembling the scooter some last night and got stuck on that part and wanted to make sure before i removed the grips.

On a side note, i found it quite annoying that some of the allen screws used to secure the components were so many different sizes. Wtf NAMI? Very dumb design.

Preciate that. Also, are those bar end mirrors? I’ve been lookin for some mirrors without havin to get some massive sized ones. I could use a suggestion as long as they don’t vibrate crazy when going over road imperfections. I ordered some cheap $6 mirrors to try out which won’t arrive til next week but would happily spend more for a good quality mirror.

DubS It’s a bar end mirror, yes.
Amazon special. The NAMI rides pretty smooth, so it doesn’t vibrate enough to affect the vision. I may replace it with a smaller concave one though, as I keep whacking the mirror trying to get the NAMI through my front door, lol.

As an added bonus, because it lives behind the couch, the wife keeps whacking her head on the giant mirror when getting off the couch. Maybe I’ll keep it after all….🤣🤣

PS: I just got a Brake Free light for the back of my helmet. Not cheap, but it’s hella bright and works great.

I just want to find a specific mirror that isn’t too big and also looks like it belongs on the scooter. I’m not hopeful that the one I ordered will check the boxes but if it’s shit, it’s only a few bucks in the trash. Guess I’ll still keep looking for one.

I remember that pitch on shark tank for that no brake light. I like it but i don’t really ride my scooter or motorcycles at night so it’s just an unnecessary expense. Very cool though for sure.

ItsAqua Yes, and they are both awesome. The Blast Max is insane for a 60V scooter.

DubS Yep, you do. Loosen the tiny Allen on the both ends of each grip and they slide right off. No effort required. You need to pop out the plastic caps in the end of the bars also.
Lol yea, many sizes. They don’t build the switches, etc. They are all sourced from outside suppliers. That’s why you get a full set of Allen keys.
