Hi David - what I am trying to say is this scooter is basically a “last mile” or short distance scooter. Its stated rated range would be based on best possible conditions at very low speeds on level ground and a light weight rider, Its max speed is 20mph. There are no shocks other than the air in the tires. If you live in the city and ride 5 miles to work and back every day this will work out very well for someone. Or take some bus or subway and finish your travel to work on the scooter.
However, this would barely make it one way to my work at full speed plus part of my journey involves hopping up and down curbs and going over graveled surfaces and through dirt forested paths. IMO this scooter is not built for all conditions, although probably will withstand wet conditions well as I see these outside all year long in the Florida rain and sun.
You have to judge what scooter is best for the usage you intend to do on it. I took my my scooter to Florida on vacation and I could easily do about a 40 mile ride without any issues at mixed speeds and conditions, many times up at 38 mph on long stretches. I barely drove my van i brought it in for 3 weeks. No range anxiety if you have to go a little further than expected or get lost which happened a few times to me. No disrespect to the scooter or brand, it’s just not capable of that. If you wind up liking the scooter hobby, your going to have buyers remorse.
