I’m not actually sure if this is a sit down electric scooter … seems more like an electric motorcycle. But the video calls it a scooter. It certainly makes impressive burnouts (and seems like a lot of fun to ride).
The rider should definitely be wearing a helmet and his sidewalk action … not great.
However, I think projects like this are great for getting eyeballs on PEVs in general. Everyone seems to want to know what scooter is the biggest, fastest, most powerful, even though not practical.
As long as people use these extreme machines responsibly and don’t kill themselves, hit pedestrians (or other things), or act like jerks I say bring them on.
