How are you checking tire pressure?
One thing that I’ve found is that if I use a rubber valve stem extender, and set the pressure using the gauge on the pump, I often lose 5 - 10 psi by the time I get the rubber extender off.
Are you seeing this drop if you check with a hand-held gauge right before the ride and right after?
This is my favorite tire pressure gauge.
Its not uncommon at all for me to have to add 5 - 10 psi before a ride on any scooter that’s been sitting at ESG for a week. Part of the reason it’s so different for scooters is that the volume is small, but the relative surface area of the tube is high. The plus side is that you can take it from 40 psi to 45 in one stroke of the pump, the downside is that a little air loss = a lot of pressure loss. So, some level of daily pressure loss is unavoidable. Anything less than 10 lbs loss per week is good, but if you’re seeing this level daily, then it’s definitely worth figuring out why.
